HALLOWELL, Maine – The Thomas College ice hockey team fell to Dartmouth College 9-1 on Friday night at the Camden National Bank Ice Vault.
Thomas struck first with Ryan Kappelmann's (Auburn, Maine) first goal of the year five minutes in that was a beautiful wrist shot from the top of the slot that went top-right corner past the goalie's glove hand. Dartmouth would score three unanswered through the final 15 minutes of the period to go up 3-1 at the first intermission.
The Big Green added four more goals in the second period to take a 7-1 advantage after two. They tacked on two more in the third to make it a 9-1 final.
Thomas will host Springfield College on Friday, November 8 at 9:20 PM at the Ice Vault.
