WSOC: Terriers Season Comes to Close with NAC Quarterfinal Loss to UMF

FARMINGTON, Maine – The Thomas College women's soccer team fell to UMaine-Farmington 4-1 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Quarterfinal match on Saturday.

The Beavers tallied the first two goals of the game in the fifth minute, with Leah Stevens and McKenna Brodeur scoring in a 24 second span to go up 2-0. Thomas got one back in the 31st minute when Katherine Hoving (Bristol, Maine) converted on a penalty kick to make it 2-1 at the half.

UMF pushed the lead back to two in the 65th minute on a Brodeur PK, then added a late insurance goal with her third of the day to make it a 4-1 final.

Callie Hammer made five stops in goal to get the win for Farmington. Isabelle Lang (Lincolnville, Maine) took the loss, making seven saves. Lauren Bartlett (Wells, Maine) came on for the final ten minutes and made one stop.
